Kunal Taravade

Artificial Intelligence: Promises and Perils

Kunal Taravade is Director of Product Engineering at Synopsys, Inc., which creates software to design computer chips. He is the author of many scientific papers and holds over 25 US patents.

Kunal has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He has lived in Portland since 2001. He is a member of Toastmasters.

One of his areas of interest is the impact of technology on society. In his talk today, Kunal will describe the concept of Artificial Intelligence, its uses and misuses, and its impact on individuals and businesses.
