Member Transactions (Referrals, Intertrades and Leads)

To all MBA Members!  Be sure to record your referrals, intertrades and leads.  Recording these transactions enables the MBA to track activity and generate quarterly reports that show each member how much business can be accomplished together.  See below for definitions:

Referrals

Anytime you recommend a fellow member’s company, goods, or services to a business contact, friend, family member or neighbor, it is a referral.  It is also considered a referral if you call to inquire about the goods or services of a fellow member, even though you may not end up using that member’s company.  File your Report Now!

Intertrades

An intertrade is anytime you use a fellow member’s goods or services.  The best time to report intertrades is when you issue payment for those goods or services.  File your Report Now!

Leads

If you have information about a business activity that is not already published or common knowledge and that could mean business for you or a fellow member, this is a lead.  A “lead” gives your fellow members an edge on the competition!  Lead subjects can be industrial, food, new family, convention, new residence, business move, events/weddings, babies, personnel, real estate, tenant improvement, expansion, construction, etc. File your Report Now!
