When I began the task of buying an engagement ring I felt so intimidated and frightened. How do I choose a diamond? What should I look for in a jeweler? How do I know if I can trust them? I visited several jewelry stores, both big and small but never felt very comfortable. All I knew was that I wanted the ring to be custom made, be designed to survive 50 or so years of style changes and to light up my fiancés heart each time she looked at it. Not too much to ask for, right?

A friend referred me to Jones and Jones Jewelers and I stopped my search right there. Tom listened to my ideas, and gave me several of his own. He educated me on diamonds without belittling me. I really appreciated the time Tom spent with me to make sure all my goals would be reached. His professional and friendly approach eased my fears of making a mistake and I was able to confidently choose the perfect diamond. Knowing my fiancé, she would want her say in the setting design and Tom had no problem providing me with a temporary setting so I could “pop the question.” She said, yes!

I brought Jennifer in to meet with Tom and discuss the setting design, and both of our wedding bands. Once again, Tom took the time to listen and make sure we were thrilled with the designs. We spent a few sessions perfecting these rings, knowing that we were going to be wearing them for the rest of our lives. The day to pick them up came and they were unveiled to us. Jennifer’s eyes lit up when she saw her wedding ring.., it was perfect. Thank you, Tom.

Tom had formed my band in exactly the design we had discussed. Because I’m always changing my mind, I asked him to make an addition to my original design. Tom said it would be no problem and he took care of me. Other jewelers may have added this to the bill but Tom never mentioned it. He wanted to make sure that both of our rings were exactly what we wanted. And he did.

Jennifer and I are married now and she still stares at her ring and smiles. Between his skill, patience and caring attitude, Tom made creating our wedding rings very special and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
